Hi everyone, how are you? How is the weather in your region? I was inspired by the cold to write today’s post. You know those places where, when you arrive, you feel like time slows down? That was my experience at Spa do Vinho, in Bento Gonçalves , in the heart of Vale dos Vinhedos. A setting that combines the elegance of wine culture with the warm hospitality of southern Brazil — and that proves to be the perfect setting for a destination wedding with a European atmosphere.
The imposing building, with architecture inspired by Tuscan villas, stands surrounded by vineyards that change color with each season – and I find it hard to choose which one I love the most. The panoramic view is an invitation to imagine an outdoor ceremony, on the terrace overlooking the valley, with the golden sunset and glasses of sparkling wine. And for those who prefer an indoor setting, the hotel’s main ballroom offers an elegant and classic space, ideal for memorable parties – with capacity and infrastructure that cater to everything from intimate mini weddings to larger events, with up to 300 guests.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to chat with the hotel staff — who are always attentive — and learn about the details that make Spa do Vinho a complete wedding venue. The event coordinator explained that the hotel offers different ceremony formats: outdoors, on the restaurant’s balcony, indoors, and even among the grapevines, for those who want an even more special touch. All of this with close supervision of the bride and groom, ensuring a personalized celebration, aligned with each couple’s style.
Another great feature is, of course, the spa itself, which gives the hotel its name. With exclusive wine therapy treatments, relaxing massages and a wellness circuit overlooking the vineyards, the space is perfect for moments of self-care before the “I do”. There are many options for the pre- and post-wedding days, and the bride and groom can also enjoy the comfort of the 5-star accommodation structure, which makes logistics much easier for those who want to gather friends and family for more than one day of celebration.
And I couldn’t fail to mention the gastronomy at Spa do Vinho, a chapter in itself. Under the command of the house chef, the menus are prepared with fresh ingredients, touches of Italian and Gaucho cuisine, and pairings designed to enhance the wines of the region. During weddings, the bride and groom can choose between different service styles — from the traditional French dinner to more relaxed stations, always with impeccable standards.
Spending these days at the Wine Spa was incredible.
