I arrived!!! From Instagram you realized that I was traveling. I was invited to attend the DWP (Destination Wedding Planeners Congress) once again this time in amazing Thailand (Phuket). I was delighted to see how the event each year grows and develops more. For me, who I have been following for years, it is an honor to participate. This year, the numbers have surpassed. There were: 400 participants; 6th country; 150 wedding planners ; and 98% more interest in care compared to the 2016 edition.
THE LECTURES
Like every year, several specialists and scholars of the event market, especially marriage, attended the lectures. The subjects were varied, from party planning to one that caught my attention: the importance of partnerships between professionals in the country of origin and destination of couples. I really enjoyed hearing that. For years I have struck this key that we are a team and the importance of reconciling cultures for the sake of the newlyweds and guests. And I participate in events like this, precisely because I win many friends and partners in every corner of the world.

Another point I can highlight was about contracts , how we should proceed with hiring local suppliers , right to use wedding photo images for publications, etc. I came back with a head full of news and great things in the luggage to introduce the Brazilian brides (Later I tell more about these news and changes in contracts around the world).
THE PARTIES
The event took place in a mega structure outside the splendid Complex Laguna Phuket and featured 3 nights party . Upon arrival, the reception cocktail took place at Banyan Tree Hotel , the same as I stayed (soon there will be a post from the hotel, which is really worth knowing).

The second night was marked by the Gala Dinner , which was held at an After Party at the Blue Elephant , a mansion that also houses a gastronomy school. We had a beautiful Thai experience with dancing and typical cuisine, and a group performance LadyBoys – very famous transsexual team in Thailand for perfect imitations from Beyonce.
To close the event, on the third day was the Closing Cocktail Full Moon Party Night , a real MA-RA-VI-LHO-SO in the sands of Xana Beach Club , from Angsana Hotel. Of course it could only end up in a pool party (I felt at home when I started playing Gusttavo Lima! Lol …)

Of course you could not miss the opportunity to look for destination news for Brazilians . I saw a lot of cool stuff and some specials. These were the ones I did business with. I’m dying to tell everything, but I still can’t. Formalizing the new partners, you will be the first to know.
NEXT DWP STOP
The news was the choice of the next destination of the DWP 2018 . The announcement was made at the Gala Dinner, and it will be in the stunning city of Los Cabos, Mexico that we will land next year. As you all know well about my love for this country, so it was a perfect choice and I am already looking forward to seeing and hearing everything that will happen there. After all, the whole country invests a lot in Destination Wedding, it will be fantastic and it will be their 1st time here on the continent !!!
Ahhhh !! We won one of the sweepstakes made in the event and we have Laguna Phuket Complex rates to use in up to 1 year, rssss !!! So, I think I’ll have to go back soon! 😉
