Shangri-La Bosphorus: International hospitality and accommodation in the heart of Istanbul

Our stop today! Welcome to Shangri-La Bosphorus

Last week, I shared here a summary of my FAMTOUR in Istanbul , in the beginning of November. And as promised, the next posts will be destined to what I liked the most and recommend to you engaged.

To start, I needed to share the Shangri-La Bosphorus hotel , which received us for the first two nights of the trip. Located in the financial and entertainment district of Besiktas, the hotel offers a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus Strait (I was in love with the peace that looks out the window). And the good thing is that when you enter the hotel, it seems that you have entered a parallel reality. Istanbul is a fervent and, let’s say, a little noisy city. And when you arrive at the hotel, the hospitality and silence that prevails within the walls of the Shangri-La give you a wonderful feeling. I guarantee that after a full day at the Grand Bazaar, all you will love the most is arriving at this kkk hotel….

For weddings, I really like Shangri-La ‘s structure and services . The hotel, from the pioneer and world-renowned group, deserves all the praise it receives from tourism critics. It is truly stunning and an unforgettable experience for your guests. And the good thing when you have large groups is having options. For you to have an idea, there are 12 categories of rooms and suites (and of the most varied sizes – from 50 to 3 thousand square meters). That is, for all tastes and pockets. And their reception is great, look at the treat I received. If you think about a destination wedding , it’s a super welcome gift !

The international cuisine with Turkish touches the Shangri-La is a great choice when you have guests from many destinations , and grooms do not want to risk only with the local food. There are two restaurants, IST TOO, which features contemporary and mixed cuisine from various cultures – including Turkish, and Shang Palace, which is an immersion in Chinese cuisine; and two bars, Looby Lounge, which has one of the best tea experiences I have ever participated in, and Le Bar, perfect for your welcome drinks or pre-wedding – first class drinks and tapas!

For the big day, the hotel has two lounges, accommodating up to 650 guests. One of the rooms was the space we used for the presentation of KM Events, responsible for bringing together the best wedding planners in the world on this trip . In addition to the impeccable service and cuisine, which I have already mentioned above, what I like most is the location, as it is in the heart of Istanbul, and the view over the Bosphorus Strait. It is an infectious energy that makes a big difference at the party.
