Famtrip in Marrakesh for destination wedding

Hello everyone! I came back, and I was never so happy to feel a slight chill (for a carioca, this is very strange lol). Back to my beloved Brazil and excited to share all the news about destination wedding in Marrakesh . First, what an incredible destination! I was impressed and in love with everything I saw there.

I was invited by Cocoon Events from my dear friend Fabrice Orlando to participate in the second edition of “La Familia” , a group that was born in 2019, in Arezzo, Tuscany, and which has become a true family of wedding planners and tourism professionals in the whole world. It was a delight to join the family, literally, and be able to live an incredible 5-day experience with such dear people. All of them were handpicked, and I’m happy to be the Brazilian chosen.

The idea was precisely to live Marrakesh, and not just visit places for weddings. And that made all the difference. Knowing spaces that would become incredible settings for the big day, that would be inevitable. But enjoying the experience made me have even more baggage to create the perfect experience for the bride and groom.

At La Mamounia ready to go for our typical Moroccan night at Kasbagh D.

Day 1

The trip was divided into two base locations, the first being the wonderful hotel La Mamounia , which if you are a fan of the “Inventing Anna” series , you will recognize from the photos. This hotel, by the way, was the same one chosen by Kim Kardashian for a holiday season in Marrakesh . Just with these two references, you can already imagine how amazing and chic it is. The feeling I had was that I was entering an Instagram world. I wanted to take pictures of everything and at everything. Thinking about the honeymoon or destination wedding , beautiful photos will not be lacking for those who stay here.

On this first day, we had a delicious brunch at L’Italien by Jean-Georges , the hotel’s starred restaurant, followed by a cocktail at Le Salon de Thé by Pierre Hermé , a great space for a mini wedding or a pre-wedding event with the godmothers, for example. To end the day, a wonderful dinner called 1001 candles at Le Menzeh by Pierre Hermé , and an after party at the charming The Moroccan Lounge. Only here, you can already see that incredible spaces for events abound.

Day 2

The second day started lively, with breakfast by the pool and an experience in a Marrakesh medina. Wow, it’s movie stuff! An amazing tour to put on the trip schedule. On the way back, we had lunch at a delicious picnic in the hotel’s garden, which is also great for the outdoor ceremony, and then headed to a lively pool party at the Palais Namaskar hotel ! We ended the day with a typical Moroccan dinner. And look, Moroccans know how to throw a lively party. I loved everything: from the food to the music! Later on, I dedicate a post here on the blog to the hotel, which is also worth knowing.

Day 3

On the third day, we took the opportunity to visit other hotels and wedding venues. We start with the Beldi Country Club hotel , which brings green in different scenarios and landscapes. For couples who prefer an almost zen and country atmosphere, the hotel is a great choice. From there, we head to the Oberoi Marrakech hotel , a real palace and our second home in the city. From there, we head to another palace, the Palais Ronsard Relais & Châteaux , which was built in the 19th century and brings the local culture to every side. I went in and imagined the countless parties and experiences we could provide for Brazilian guests. And when I say we, it’s because I’m already waiting for your contact after seeing these photos! hahahaha

Dinner took place at Le Selman , a country hotel overlooking the mountains and an international luxury hotel service. We ended the day with, of course, a party at Oberoi!

Day 4

Fourth, and one of the days that I was most looking forward to, was the day to visit the famous Majorelle Garden, which became world-renowned for being the destination of the mansion of French stylist Yves Saint Laurent – until today, even after his death, it is one of the most sought after destinations in the city. And it really is AMAZING! This tour cannot be left out of the itinerary in any way. Even those who are not into fashion will love it!

After this tour, we went for lunch at the international Mandarin Oriental, which needs no introduction, after all it is one of the most famous seals in the world. Following our tour, we disembark at Hotel Amanjena, which is another charming hotel that brings the local culture to all sides. The palatial architecture, with the giant pool… Good option for weddings!

We ended the day, and the trip, with dinner and more parties at Oberi. The next day, I left for Brazil, and I almost died of sadness to leave behind the charm that is Marrakesh.

Well, I think it made you realize that there was no lack of party and animation, right? I loved Marrakesh and would highly recommend it to couples who want an amazing cultural experience coupled with premium hospitality. Whoever is interested in having more information, write to me and I will love to share all the information.

Kisses and until next time,
Simone.
